Nakita attended Georgia State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2001. In 2009, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University Theological Seminary and Graduate School.


After graduating from Liberty University, she attended Florida State University where she earned a Master of Social (MSW) degree in 2011. She became a licensed clinical social worker in 2014. Nakita is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Florida. She is also​ qualified to provide supervision for registered clinical social work, mental health, and marriage and family interns.


Nakita served in the Florida Army National Guard for 10 years with 5 of those years as a Behavioral Health Specialist. She worked as a school social worker for Polk County Public Schools in the Homeless Education program for nine years and in mental health counseling since 2016. 


She provides services in the following areas:
