Nakita attended Georgia State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2001. In 2009, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University Theological Seminary and Graduate School.
After graduating from Liberty University, she attended Florida State University where she earned a Master of Social (MSW) degree in 2011. She became a licensed clinical social worker in 2014. Nakita is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Florida. She is also qualified to provide supervision for registered clinical social work, mental health, and marriage and family interns.
Nakita served in the Florida Army National Guard for 10 years with 5 of those years as a Behavioral Health Specialist. She worked as a school social worker for Polk County Public Schools in the Homeless Education program for nine years and in mental health counseling since 2016.
