I attended Georgia State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2001. In 2009, I earned a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University Theological Seminary and Graduate School. After graduating from Liberty University, I attended Florida State University where I earned a Master of Social (MSW) degree in 2011. I became a licensed clinical social worker in 2014. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Florida and a qualified to provide supervision for registered clinical social work, mental health, and marriage and family interns.
I served in the Florida Army National Guard for 10 years with five of those years as a Behavioral Health Specialist. I have worked as a school social worker for Polk County Public Schools in the Homeless Education program for nine years and in mental health counseling since 2016. I utilize Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to provide counseling in the following areas:
